Body Found In Spring River Identified

JOPLIN, MISSOURI -

On Friday afternoon, August 5th, a body was found in a branch off from Spring River near a residence North of Nutmeg and 210 in Jasper. The Missouri State Lake Patrol assisted with the recovery of the body.

The subject has been tentatively identified as Jerrimie Carter,30, of Jasper. Mr. Carter’s next of kin have been notified.

Preliminary results of the autopsy do not indicate any signs of foul play. Lab results are still pending at this time.

Mr. Carter was reported as missing on Thursday, August 4th. The reporter said they had not seen Mr. Carter since August 3rd.

    A stabbing investigation leads to the arrest of the stabbing victim. On Wednesday morning around 6:30 a.m. (April 25, 2018), Pittsburg police officers were called to Via Christi Hospital for a male that had been stabbed.
