COLUMBUS, KANSAS -

Brett Hamilton and Kolt Ungeheuer of Columbus have been selected to participate in the 2016 USSSA All-American Games, representing the Central Region in the 11 & Under division. The USSSA All-American games will be played August 7-13 at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando, FL.

Through tryouts held across the country the USSSA All American Games select the top 24 players in 8 different regions to compete against each other on a national stage.

Hamilton was selected as a first baseman from the Kansas City, MO tryout while Ungeheuer was selected as an outfielder from the Fort Dodge, IA tryout.

Hamilton and Ungeheuer play for the Columbus Outlaws travel team and are also teammates for the Columbus Cal Ripken All Star squad that just captured their third consecutive Kansas state championship (2014, 2015, 2016).

Columbus will have further representation at the USSSA All-American games as Donny Hamilton, coach of the Outlaws and Cal Ripken All Stars, was selected to coach the Central Region team.
