Pay Raises for Joplin City Workers Not Included in First Budget Draft
JOPLIN, MISSOURI -
The current draft of the Joplin City budget does not include pay raises for city workers. The $190 million draft budget for the upcoming fiscal year will be discussed tonight at a public hearing. If the draft is adopted it would be the third consecutive year without a pay increase for city workers. According to city officials, pay raises will not be discussed at the hearing tonight, but aren't off of the table yet.
