Nevada High had a "Tackle Cancer Night" at the stadium as the Tigers defeated Springfield Central, 54-6. The Cheerleaders wore purple for cancer awareness.     The Joplin Fire Department responded to a fire at Triple R Recycling shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 (510 S Tyler Ave). Police closed several roads in the area to allow crews to fight the fire. The Joplin Police Department says multiple explosions from the fire were heard across town, resulting in additional 911 calls from concerned residents.
