What Happened ?

At about 11:00 AM (time) on October 3rd, 2016 (date) the water system lost pressure due to the well motor burning out at Well #1 on 10/3/2016.

When water mains lose pressure it increases the chance that untreated water and harmful microbes can enter your water.

Harmful microbes in drinking water can cause diarrhea, cramps, nausea, headaches, or other symptoms and may pose a special health risk for infants, some elderly, and people with severely compromised immune systems. But these symptoms are not just caused by microbes in drinking water. If you experience any of these symptoms and they persist, you should seek medical advice.

What is being done ?

Have called in well/pump repair services. Working diligently to correct issue. .

It is likely that you will need to boil water for the next 1 to 2 days. At least for next 24 hours or until notified by PWSD #1 of McDonald County, until the problem is fixed. You will be informed when tests show that you no longer need to boil your water.

For more information, please contact:

Office of PWSD #1 of McDonald County at 417-226-0360 – 417-226-0758.
