Chanute Man Charged w/ Involuntary Manslaughter

PITTSBURG, KANSAS -

Todd M. Kidwell, 38 of Chanute, KS was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and improper passing of a bicycle. He entered his guilty pleas this morning. The incident occurred on June 7, 2015 when Kidwell, driving recklessly, unintentionally killed Glenda M. Taylor of Topeka as she was competing in a cycling timed trial event in Crawford county just outside of Walnut, KS. Kidwell was set for jury trial starting the week of December 12th on a second degree, reckless murder offense. His sentencing is set for January 9, 2017.
