Homicide Investigation In Miami

The victim has been identified as John Woods 35 year old male from Sapulpa.

On 12-5-2016 at approximately 10:50 pm Miami Police were notified of a stabbing at 2802 P St NW.  Upon arrival of Officers they interrupted a physical altercation with two men who lived at the residence.  Both men were covered in blood and one man had multiple stab wounds.  The suspect was Identified as Andrew Jones, 41 year old male from Jenks, Ok.  Jones was taken into custody at the scene.  The victim was transported by life flight to Freeman Hospital in Joplin Missouri where he later succumb to his wounds.  The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.   Detectives are working the scene ad OSBI has been called in to assist in the investigation.
