20th Street Projects

Updated:
JOPLIN, MISSOURI -

Improvements are coming to east 20th street in Joplin.  The city council this week passed an agreement with Empire District Electric to begin removing streetlights in the two-mile stretch from Main Street to Range Line.

Changes include the addition of a right turn lane at Indiana to improve access to Joplin High School -- as well as re-aligning Murphy Boulevard so the intersection meets at a right angle.
