OK Financial Troubles

There could be financial trouble ahead for the Oklahoma Department of Health.  Spokesman Tony Sellars says the agency doesn't have enough money to pay its employees beyond November.

Lawmakers are in the eighth week of a special legislative session to try to fill a $215 million dollar shortfall in the state's budget.  Among legislation being debated is a bill that would appropriate an emergency $30 million to the Health Department while cutting the budgets of other state agencies.  The bill would also raid several government accounts.

An investigative audit is also being performed on the state's Health Department.
