At 12:41am this morning one of our officers tried to stop a vehicle at 7th and Schifferdecker for expired plates. The vehicle slowly drove to 9th and Schifferdecker before stopping. The 36 year old female driver gave indications of being involved in criminal activity. The officer ended up finding a meth lab in the trunk of her car along with drug paraphernalia. She was arrested for felony creation of a controlled substance.

    At about 11:30 pm, April 21st, a vehicle crashed into the front door of Erie High School. According to USD 101 Superintendent Steve Wolf, a 16-year-old male from St. Paul drove a pickup truck through the hallways of the school. The incident damaged doorways, walls, furniture and the antique Richey's Drug Store soda fountain. The Erie Police Department arrested the teen at the scene. School officials are working to get the scene cleaned up in time for class on Monday. h...More >>
