Updated:

Former Girard Trojan Cailie Logue has already made a name for herself at the Division I level as a freshman at Iowa State. Now, she's about to perform on an even bigger stage.

Logue has been selected as a member of the United States Junior Women's Cross Country team. There, she will join five other US athletes in the Simplyhealth Great Edinburgh XCountry Challenge on January 13th in Edinburgh, Scotland.

In her freshman year at Iowa State, she was named Big 12 Newcomer of the year. Logue finished fourth at the conference championships, and ISU won its 6th Big 12 title in the last 7 years. She also finished 79th in the nation at the NCAA Championships.

At Girard High School, Logue was the 2X Gatorade Cross Country Track and Field Athlete of the year, and was 4X Kansas State Cross Country Champion. She also was the 4X state champion in the 3200m and won the state title in the 1600m three times.
