Parsons Kids Stay Active Minus The Cold

Updated:
PARSONS, KANSAS -

Kids in Parsons this morning were able to be active without being out in the freezing cold. The Parson Recreation Commission opened the doors to the Multi Arts Academy Tumbling Gym for its Tumble Tots program. For just $1 kids aged six and under were able to play with a variety of trampolines, balls and climbing equipment. They open the gym twice a month year round, which allows parents plenty of opportunity to spend time with their kids without breaking the bank.

Community Center Administrator Ariana Bennett says, "Well a lot of times at home if they're there they can be doing other things. Here they kind of have to participate with them. They have to have a parent. So the parents are playing with them. They're watching them. So they at least get that one to two hour time with their kids while they're playing."

The next Tumble Tots session will be next Saturday from 9 to 11 in the morning. They allow a maximum of 20 participants per session on a first come first serve basis.
