Kansas Mental Hospital Will Keep Federal Funding

Updated:

It appears at Kansas mental hospital will continue to receive federal funding.
Federal regulators had threatened in October to cut off funding and demanded safety-related renovations in a 104-bed building at Larned State Hospital over concerns about patient safety and other issues.
The Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services said Friday federal regulators notified hospital administrator Bill Rein that the hospital had passed a federal inspection conducted in December.
Inspectors found the hospital in western Kansas is now complying with federal rules and regulations.
The federal government says the hospital in western Kansas will not lose its federal funding or be decertified..
