Authorities Arrest A Wanted Suspect

Update (4/25):  Joplin police say Ottawa County authorities arrested Cory Reynolds today.

(4/24/2018) Joplin Police search for a suspect with ten active warrants.

Police spotted 41-year-old Cory D. Reynolds Monday afternoon (April 23) around 3:00 at his home near 9th and Chestnut. Authorities say he jumped into a vehicle and drove off. During the chase, Reynolds hit another vehicle at 23rd and Maiden Lane and drove away. Police chased him to Galena, Kansas where they lost sight of him.

Reynolds is wanted for previous charges and has seven warrants out of Joplin, an assault warrant out of Newton County, a felony possession warrant out of Jasper County, a burglary/aggravated assault warrant out of McDonald County. Authorities say they are also asking for additional charges for Monday's incident.

Joplin Police ask that you call them at 417-623-3131 if you have any information on his whereabouts.

    Driver's licensing services resume in Montgomery Kansas after security concerns subside.
