Joplin 17-Year-Old Wanted For Assault Is Caught

A man who allegedly broke into a Joplin home, assaulted a person with a baseball bat and stole items is in custody.

According to court documents, on April 13th around 7:00 a.m., 17-year-old Brenton Hollis and another unknown male broke into the front door of a home on S. Annie Baxter Ave. in Joplin, MO.

Police say the two suspects assaulted Christopher Richardson with baseball bats and then stole a $560 flat screen television. Hollis and the other suspect ran before police arrived. Richardson went to a hospital for medical attention.

Police arrested Hollis in Joplin yesterday (April 25th, 2018). He is charged with first degree burglary, first degree assault and armed criminal action.
