Ford to begin phasing out sedans

Updated:
COLUMBUS, KANSAS -

You'll be seeing less of these as the next few years go by, as Ford phases out sedans.
"They probably just need to keep up with the times. Younger generations are coming up and i don't see them wanting to drive my car" says Dottie Myers, as she waits for her car to be repaired.
"The millienials and all prefer an SUV over a sedan" says Mike Carpino from Mike Carpino Ford.
It is leaving less room for cars like the Taurus, Fiesta and Fusion.
"With the demand that we have for cross over vehicles and sport utility vehicles, Ford has looked at the current compacity that they have at the plants, they're going to be able to better serve their customers by producing more crossovers and utilities"
A statement from Ford says some of the new vehicles coming to the lineup include new trucks, and a reboot of the Ford Bronco.
The ford dealer we spoke with says not to worry about replacement parts if your car is one of the types phasing out. As federal regulations require they keep the replacement parts for a certain amount of time after.
Which was come in handy for Dottie and Glen Myers
"We'll it's been pretty easy getting parts and stuff for it. They've had everything for it, except for a few little minor deals but more or less, they've had the stuff" says Glen.
Ford Motor Company sent us a statement, today, stating, in part.. That it will continue to sell a range of cars in markets outside of North America.
For sedan fans, this may be a bump in the road.
Which is the same place we'll be seeing more SUVs.
