Camp Entertains Pittsburg Kids Out Of School

Updated:
PITTSBURG, KANSAS -

Even though school wasn't in session today, some Pittsburg kids were still keeping busy, and having some fun while doing it. Camp Now and Then in Pittsburg opens its doors for the students when they're not in school. The program accepts kids from kindergarten to eighth grade, and it provides a variety of fun activities such as basketball and crafts. Camp officials say it also helps the kids build strong relationships with each other. Pittsburg Parks and Recreation hosts the camp year round whenever school is out and that includes during the summer. Camp Now and Then is in session from 7:40 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the evening. It costs $11 per child, per day.
