Nixa Ends Webb City's 13-Game Streak

Updated:

The Nixa Eagles beat Webb City 7-6 on Tuesday night, snapping the Cardinals 13-game winning streak.

Nixa scored three in the top of the 3rd inning, before Webb City responded with four in the bottom of the 3rd to take their first lead. The Cardinals would take a 6-3 lead into the 6th, but Nixa dropped four in the top of the inning to take a 7-6 lead, a lead they wouldn't give up.

Nebraska commit Brett Hammit had a nice day for Nixa, going 3-4 with two doubles and a home run.

Webb City is now 20-3 overall this season. The Cardinals will be back on the field on Thursday, hosting the Carthage Tigers on senior night.
