Three Sign at Neosho High School

Updated:

Three student-athletes signed letters of intent today at Neosho High School, and all three of them will be heading to Miami, Oklahoma to continue their athletic careers in college.

Jayla Wortman and Brandi Denefrio will be joining the NEO rodeo team, while Brady Wise will be playing basketball for the Norsemen. Wise was a 1st team All-District selection and 2nd team All-Conference selection at Neosho High School his senior year.

My brother played baseball there and he really loved it.  And I love that it's close to home," Wise says, "It gives me that first year to adjust to college."

Since I was a little girl, I've always just dreamed of kind of taking my rodeo career to the next level and having this opportunity," says Jayla Wortman, "(to do it) at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M is just a dream come true to me"

"There's like a pull in my heart really. I know when I felt that this was definitely a school for me." Denefrio adds.
