Missouri Southern helps Students Relieve Stress before Finals

Updated:
Joplin, MO -

Some area college students got the chance to blow off some steam before the end of the semester.

Missouri Southern held their spring Finals Madness event this evening. Students had the chance to play games, eat a late night dinner, and test their pop culture knowledge playing trivia with the group Nerdology.

The school holds the event to give students the opportunity to relax before going though the stress of finals week.

Craig Gullett, Assistant Director of Student Life, says, "Finals week is stressful. You can almost see the stress in the students eyes. And on to top of that, a lot of classes just finished up some big projects and so this is just kind of a last time to get together with their classmates. A lot of people are graduating too, so it's kind of a last hurrah for some seniors to go out and do something fun as well."

The Campus Activities Board holds this event at the end of every semester.
