Dive For Dawson - May 19

Updated:

Calypso is hosting a fund-raiser for Dawson Hirshey on Saturday, May 19th!

In April, seven-year-old Dawson was struck in the forehead by a line drive foul hit at a local ball game. He has been hospitalized since and has undergone cranial surgery. He is making progress, but the costs are tremendous. The love, support, and prayers for him have truly helped Dawson and his family!

Calypso wants to help them, and we will be conducting Try Scuba Dives to defray their costs This is YOUR chance to see what scuba diving is all about AND help the family with their immense expenses at the same time! Bring cash or make your checks out to "Dawson" because the money we raise will go to them! We are requesting a minimum donation of $25, and (of course) more generous amounts will be greatly appreciated!

All you need to do is call Calypso at 417-624-0900 or email valerie@diveshop1.com to get yourself or your group signed up. The day of the event, arrive on time with your swimsuit and a towel, and then prepare to have a great time! You will complete the necessary forms, enjoy a short classroom presentation, and change into your swimwear to get into our on-site heated indoor pool and scuba dive with your Dive Leader's supervision!

You will get to breathe underwater and experience weightlessness! It is Incredible! The first event will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 19th at Calypso, 1840 North Range Line, Joplin.

Tell your friends, associates, church group, and everyone to come and participate, or simply stop by and make a donation.

Get a group of 6 or more together, and we'll do a special Try Scuba just for you!
