CHARGES DISMISSED

  • Prosecutors dismiss felony invasion of privacy charges against Missouri Governor Eric Greitens.  Attorney's cited the fact that Greitens' defense planned to call the Saint Louis Circuit Attorney, whose handling of the case has been under constant criticism by Greitens attorneys.  The governor on Monday told reporters, he's relieved by the dismissal, but also apologetic.

KANSAS ALCOHOL LAW

  • Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer signs into law a bill allowing restaurants to use self-serve beer taps and sell candy laced with alcohol.  The governor says the new law is forward-thinking and shows that the state is willing to help entrepreneurs.  The new law will also allow bars, taverns, and restaurants to begin serving alcohol at 6:00am rather than 9:00am. 

FIRST LADY HOSPITALIZED

  • First Lady Melania Trump is recovering at Walter Reed Military Hospital after undergoing a medical procedure to treat a benign kidney condition.  President Trump, who visited the first lady Monday, tweeted the procedure was a success and that Mrs. Trump is in good spirits.  The white house says she looks forward to a full recovery.

HAWAII VOLCANO

  • The danger around Hawaii's Kilauea volcano is growing.  Hawaiian officials say new fissures opened yesterday...sending more lava to the surface.  Residents in the region are advised to be on the alert...should they need to evacuate.
