George Washington Carver National Monument Gives Kids Free Passes To National Parks

Updated:
DIAMOND, MISSOURI -

The George Washington Carver National Monument hosted 130 kids for a day of fun and education. It's Every Kid In a Park, or EKIP, day. Students from Banneker Elementary and Medowmere Elementary got to learn about George Washington Carver's history and even learn how to make peanut butter milk in the lab. Every kid received an EKIP pass, which gets them and four family members into any national park for free through summer. The park partnered with Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, which Carver was a member, in Kansas City to put the event on.
