June 7 - Bright Futures of Carthage will be at the Carthage Public Library to share a snack with all area children ages 18 and under from 3:00 - 3:30, and then we will have an activity for children going into grades 3-6: Children's Readers Theater. Come read scripts with us and get a good belly laugh! This, as all events this summer at the Carthage Public Library, is FREE

June 14 - Bright Futures of Carthage will be at the Carthage Public Library to share a snack with all area children ages 18 and under from 3:00 - 3:30, and then we will have a family movie, Moana, at 3:30. Join us for this family favorite in the air conditioning on a big screen! Popcorn will be provided! This, as all events this summer at the Carthage Public Library, is FREE

June 18 - Most every Monday at 10 am, you will find a group of very young people singing, dancing, and enjoying stories in both Spanish and English. You don't have to be fluent in both languages to enjoy this time at our bi lingual activity, but you're likely to learn something! Join Ms. Janine for a fun Monday morning full of action!

June 20-21 - English Story Time

Join Ms. Sherri for our regular English Story Time at the Carthage Public Library! We will have stories, songs, and crafts each week! If you can't make it on Wednesdays, we will have a repeated class at the same time on Thursdays, 10 am either day. Story Times are designed for ages birth through children going into second grade.

June 25 - Most every Monday at 10 am, you will find a group of very young people singing, dancing, and enjoying stories in both Spanish and English.     A McDonald County, Missouri couple is sentenced for a 2016 crime involving kidnapping. On October 25th, 2016, McDonald County Sheriff's deputies responded to 321 West Sarratt Road in Goodman regarding a well-being check involving an elderly man. According to court documents, when authorities arrived they found a 79-year-old man in a room with a padlock on the outside of the door.     Big BAM Ride is a 5-day cycling event across Missouri. Departing from Joplin's Schifferdecker Park the morning of June 18th, cyclist will end their trek in Eureka, MO on June 22nd. This year the event will follow much of historic Route 66 across the state. The kick-off will offer an evening concert in the park, food trucks and cycling conversation on June 17th.
