Double Shooting in Delaware Co. Leaves One Dead, One Injured, Two in Custody

Two people were shot and two arrested in Jay, Oklahoma Friday evening. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation  (OSBI) is helping with the case in Delaware county. In a rural part of the county just after 6:00 p.m.  Friday, two men entered a home and shot and killed  the owner,  Dinh Van Hoang. Investigators believe Hoang was the former father in law of one of the suspects.

The two suspects, Waylon Russell and brother Willie Russell of Jay fled the scene and are accused of firing shots at Robbie Kirby's vehicle. Kirby was inside and was hit several times with gunshots. He's reportedly in stable condition.

The suspects ran again but were captured later in Jay.

Sheriff Harlan Moore said, "It's multiple scenes.  We're working three scenes related to this incident." He added, "You know, you hate scenes like this.  This is not a good deal. Unfortunately a man lost his life."

Kirby was a cousin to the suspects. The suspects  were taken into custody by Delaware county deputies, accused of first degree murder and shooting with intent to kill.
