With recent rain and thunderstorms we saw to conclude the month of May, that certainly improved our drought situation across the Four State Area. The latest update to the Drought Monitor took the severe drought out of our corner of southeast Kansas. We still have abnormally dry conditions and a few spots of moderate drought on the KS and OK side, but this is a marked improvement compared to how we started the month of May. With Doug saying we're looking at a dryer and hotter June and July, we'll see how we'll fare as we get closer to the start of the summer season.
