The updated Drought Monitor was released today and there has been little change across the Four State Area. In our immediate area, we don't have any areas under a severe drought. The most notable changes compared to last week has been an inclusion of a few abnormally dry areas in southwestern Missouri and northwest Arkansas. For the Kansas and Oklahoma side, most areas are experiencing an abnormally dry to moderate drought. While we're in better shape compared to areas out in central and western KS and OK, we are starting to head into the drier summer months. Hopefully, the t-storm chances peppered in each and every day over the next several days can keep the drought conditions from worsening. We'll continue to keep an eye on things over the next several days.
