Event: Production of Rumors, a comedy by Neil Simon

Dates: June 21 – 24

Location: Stone's Throw Dinner Theatre

Contact: Theatre Office at 417-358-4300

Neil Simon's Tony Award-winning comedy Rumors will be playing at Stone's Throw Dinner Theatre Thursday, June 21 through Sunday, June 24. It is being produced by special arrangements with Samuel French, Inc.

At a large, tastefully-appointed Sneden's Landing townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. 'Tis only a flesh wound, but four couples are about to experience a severe attack of Farce. Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room, and his wife is nowhere to be found. Ken, his lawyer and Chris, his wife, must get "the story" straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.

Director Becki Arnall is returning to Stone's Throw after a long hiatus. Players include Michelle Jamison and her son, Samuel Jamison, appearing for the first time on the same stage. Veteran actor, director, and playwright Jon Peck, long absent and sorely missed, is once again on the Stone's Throw stage. Michaela West, Amanda Powell, Nick James, Melody Liles, Quentin McDonald, Luke Bobbett, and Ed Towle round out this amazing cast.

Doors open at 6:00 pm, with dinner served at 6:30 and the show starting at 7:30. For the Sunday matinee, doors open at 12:30 pm. Our menu will include a luscious layered salad, savory beef brisket open face on Texas toast, Sara's country mashed potatoes & gravy, buttery mixed vegetables, and for dessert, lemony lemon cake. When making your reservations, please let us know anyone in your party has food allergies or other dietary restrictions, and we'll work to accommodate you.

Please call the theatre if you have any questions.

Stone's Throw Dinner Theatre is a stone's throw west of Carthage at 2466 Old 66 Boulevard (old Route 66 west of the golf course).
