Movies in the Park – June Movie Announced

Joplin, MO (6/12/2018) – Joplin Parks and Recreation, the Joplin Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Frank Fletcher Toyota are excited to announce the next movie in the 2018 Movies in the Park series.

Bring your family, a date, a group of friends, or even fly solo as you enjoy a movie under the stars! Everyone is welcome to come out to Schifferdecker Golf Course and enjoy the 90's comedy "Happy Gilmore" on Saturday, June 16th at approximately 8:45pm. The movie is rated PG-13 with a run time of 1 hour, 32 minutes. The event is completely free to attend. Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged and concessions will be available for purchase on-site.

The June movie coincides with the Golf Course's "Family Fun Night" that starts at 4:30pm and features a 9-hole special rate, concession sales, and a putting course.

Thanks to a generous sponsorship from Frank Fletcher Toyota, movies will be shown throughout the summer and fall. The full movie lineup can be found at www.joplinmo.org/movies.

    A McDonald County, Missouri couple is sentenced for a 2016 crime involving kidnapping. On October 25th, 2016, McDonald County Sheriff's deputies responded to 321 West Sarratt Road in Goodman regarding a well-being check involving an elderly man. According to court documents, when authorities arrived they found a 79-year-old man in a room with a padlock on the outside of the door.
