Wiffle Ball Tournament

Event Information

Join us for the July 4th Celebration Wiffle Ball Tournament!

Date: Tuesday, July 3rd

Pre-Registration REQUIRED

Check In: 5:15 pm – 5:45 pm at Russell Concession

Start Time: 6:00 pm

Location: Ted Carnino Field

Teams must provide: Scorekeeper, 2 bats, 2 balls

Fee: $15 per team

Team is 3-5 people

Format based on ages and entries

Join us for our July 4th Celebration Baby Contest!

Date: Tuesday, July 3rd

Location: JJ Richards Band Dome in Lincoln Park

Pre-registration highly encouraged! You can pre-register in the Pittsburg Parks & Recreation offices at 710 W. 9th Street Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Pre-registration fee by June 29th – $3.00

Registration June 30th – Day Of Event (7/3) – $5.00

Day of Registration at the JJ Richards Band Dome: 5:15 pm – 6:00 pm

Age Groups:

6 months – 12 months

12 months – 24 months

*Boys and Girls will be judges separately*

NO DRESS REQUIREMENTS OR RESTRICTIONS

Trophies: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each division.

Join us for the July 4th Celebration Pride Of Pets Fun Dog Show!

Pre-registration accepted at the Parks & Recreation Department offices at 710 W. 9th Street, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Day of registration accepted at the information booth, Lincoln Park Pavilion #3 until 9:30 am.

Show starts at 10:00 am

Fee: $2 per category OR $5 for 3 categories

Prizes: 1st & 2nd place prizes will be awarded in each category.

**People's Choice Award – 1st place in each category will be up for this award and it will be chosen by the crowd applause.**

    "Chaos, ignorance, it's a mess." Vernon County resident, Chris Greer expressing his disappointment in what happened to the lake. "A lot of mad people. There's a lot of people that fish out here, bring their kids out here and fish. A lot of people who survive off of fishing out here" Greer and others at the lake say they wish the Missouri Department of Conservation would have drained the lake differently, a way not resulting in a mass death of mostly Carp.
