Found Safe: Joplin Police Search for 55-year-old Endangered Man

Tepper has been found safe in Kansas.

The Joplin Police Department asks for the public's help in finding 55-year-old Steven R. Tepper. Authorities are considering him a missing an endangered person.

He was last seen in Joplin, Missouri. He's known to be driving a White Nissan Frontier Pickup Truck with the Missouri License Plate 0WC721.

Tepper has medical conditions requiring regular medication and has been without medications for a week. This could cause him to behave unpredictably. He is under legal guardianship of his mother. Tepper previously made statements that he was attempting to go to an unknown location in Kansas.

Anyone seeing the missing person or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Joplin Police Department at 417-623-3131.

    "I don't believe that Missouri drivers as a whole are unsafe drivers in any form or fashion," said Sgt. John Luechenhoff of the Missouri Highway Patrol. The sergeant isn't dismissing a new ranking of states with the worst drivers conducted by financial technology firm SmartAsset, but he feels it doesn't tell the whole story about Missouri.
