The annual Wyandotte Nation pow wow took place today in Wyandotte.
A number of tribes participated and have spent the last three days performing a number of traditional dances like the gourd dance and the war dance.
There's also competitive dancing with several different categories of dances.
Officials say it's all about celebrating history, tradition, and getting the public involved.
Steve Kinder, Master of Ceremonies: "You know I think the end result is if everybody that comes here if they leave the grounds after the dance is over if they have a good feeling you know a good spirit about them then we've succeeded"
More than 150 people attended just today's event, there were several vendors on hand selling patterned blankets and jewelry.
