Newton County, Missouri -

A crash involving a Neosho school bus kills three people Wednesday afternoon.

According to Missouri Highway Patrol the crash happened on Route H, 10 miles east of Neosho. The report states a Chevy 1500 truck failed to stop at a stop sign and hit the school bus on the side.  Both vehicles went off the left side of the road and overturned. The bus landed on top of the truck.  The Newton County Coroner pronounced the driver and two passengers in the truck dead at the scene.   The driver is 21-year-old Austin Thomas of Harrison, Arkansas, 21-year-old Waylon Collins of Western Grove, Arkansas and 19-year-old Jordan Pospichal of Hasty, Arkansas.  Both the bus driver and an adult passenger received minor injuries.

The Neosho School District has released a statement:
"We were recently made aware of an accident involving one of our buses at the intersection of H and HH. Emergency and school personnel are currently on the scene. Two students, a bus aide, and bus driver were onboard when another vehicle struck the bus. There are some bumps and bruises but we are grateful to report no major injuries for our students and team who were on the bus. We do not have information as to the other vehicle or its passengers.

This is all we know at this time but we will work with law enforcement to keep our community in the loop as information comes available.

Our thoughts are with all involved in this tragic accident.  #WildcatNation"
