Neosho Fall Festival Draws Record Number of Vendors

Updated:

Neosho's Annual Fall Festival draws thousands of people seeking entertainment and fall fun.

A record-breaking 195 vendors joined the festival this year, selling art, crafts and food to residents and visitors from surrounding towns.

Pony rides, a sidewalk art contest and games were popular with the kids.

A stream of musicians played music throughout the day.

City officials say that one of the goals of the event is to encourage visitors to consider making Neosho their home.

"If they're looking to relocate, or if they're looking at jobs, or whatever, they have a good Neosho experience, then that helps them play into their decision making in the future," said Paul Richardson, Public Relations Coordinator for the City of Neosho.

Richardson says that the Fall Festival takes a full year to plan, as the event grows each year.

The Fall Festival will continue tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
